How To Fix Your Tv If It Displays ‘no Input’ On The Screen?

If your television shows ‘No Input Signal’ warning on the screen, then the reason may be related to either the source which is the input or the connecting parts of the input and the television screen or the television itself.

1. Try to change the source of the signal as the reason of the no input signal warning is the wrong input. So, make sure that the input which is switched has the necessary connections.

2. Make sure that the cables are working properly or not loosely connected to your TV. HDMI cables should be securely connected to your input component and your TV.

3. Change the input source on your TV to the component which is plugged in to your TV screen and which is turned on. So, use your remote control to change the source to HDMI 1, HDMI 2, HDMI 3, HDMI 4, PC, TV, CABLE, etc. And make sure that the component is switched on.

4. It may be caused by antenna problems such as UHF aerial not aligned correctly or may be obstructed or the satellite dish position may be incorrect or obstructed or the components of the antenna may be damaged due to continuous exposing to the elements.

5. The antenna cable may have loose connection to your TV set or it may be damaged as well.

6. You should check if your products have the latest updates of firmware upgrades or not. If not, you can contact your manufacturer.

7. Check if your TV display a picture or if the LED is blinking indicating that it does notdisplay a picture.

8. You can rescan the channels that are active if your TV is using a direct cable TV or anover-the-air antenna. You should select the built-in tuner when you are at the TVservice initial setup step. If you are using a cable box or a receiver for satellite, thenyou can skip this step.

9. An over-the-air antenna may need an adjustment for improvement in the quality of thesignal coming from the air.

11. If your TV uses a cable or satellite box, you may need to contact your serviceprovider for further assistance in improving the signal strength.

12. Switch off your device at the wall (this is the receiver, recorder or TV that yourantenna cables are connected to).

13. Reconnect all cables at the back of the TV or box, making sure that the cables are allproperly connected (you want to avoid loose cables that could cause signal loss) and ifyou have a signal booster connected, try removing that and plug the antenna cablestraight into your receiver, recorder or TV.

14. Wait a little while for any overheated devices to cool down.

18. If using direct cable or an over-the-air antenna, the channel set up feature in the TV menu should be re-activated so that the TV can re-scan the active channels. This is also known as the auto program feature of a TV.

19. If the built in tuner cannot be selected on the input selection or video input settings, a factory data reset will be necessary.

20. If a set-up box, direct cable, or over-the-air antenna is connected to the CABLE/ANTENNA input, the built-in tuner should be auto programmed again.

21. The channel being watched may not be live, or the media being played may be blank. Attempt to change the channel or try a different source or device.

22. Rain and humidity can damage outdoor aerials, while commonplace wear-and-tear can cause damage to indoor cables. Check that the cables and aerials look clean and rust-free and that cables are firmly secured to your television set.

23. You might get no signal on the TV when a TV channel has gone off-air.

Reconnect the power to the digital receiver by either plugging the power cord back into the wall outlet or into the back of the digital receiver. Wait about five minutes for the digital receiver to reset. When the clock on your digital receiver activates, the reset is complete.

28. Ensure that the television is connected to the cable box. There are several ways that it might be connected to the TV. With a standard definition TV you will simply connect a single coaxial cable, for HD Televisions you may have a different style connection.

29. Ensure that your TV is on the proper input. Depending on the connection you are using, the input should correspond with the cable you are using. Example: if you are using an HDMI cable your TV will need to be set to one of its HDMI inputs.
